Root Taylor was born in Marietta, Ohio, August 18, 1892. When she was six years of age, her family moved to Montpelier, where she lived the remainder of her life. Mrs. Taylor was gradu- ated from the local high school in 1912 and the Indiana State Normal School at Terre Haute in 1917. She taught for sixteen years in the Mont- pelier schools. This year she was teaching Junior high school English and geography and was one of the sponsors of the Freshman Class. For the past several years she had charge of the Dramatic Club. Her son, Thomas was a member of the Freshman Class. She passed away at her h0m9 September 25, 1934. Page eleven
