We come to the moment in the life of a man, When homage is deservedly paid. A man who has done as much as he can For humanity in the big parade. His Work has been quiet and ultra steady In the community, church, and school, With a helping hand that is ever ready, And a head that's extremely cool. And so, for a man Who's espoused a cause, And seen by one observant, We can at least arise with loud applause For a good and faithful servant. Only those who have worked with or for her can really know. Getting grade cards ready, answering the phone, typing up endless letters, sorting the mail, taking sick students home, and sending out the NEWSLETTER each month are only a few of the many tasks she does. Although Mrs . Greek does not come under the heading of teacher, one could learn patiencejust by observing her in her work. And when the last bell has rung and the last student has left, a person will often find Mrs . Greek still working at her desk. High School. MR. ALBERT SNYDER B.S. in Education, Defiance Col- ' lege. The enthusiasm of the screaming crowd and the determination of the fighting Locomotive squad was so great that Jim Lilly with the help of his teammates slipped a touchdown over the goal line with only 1:13 seconds left in the game, The Locomotive offensive machine led the Purple and Gold with Rick Oberlin's touchdown in the final four minutes of the first quarter. Bryan's Mike Fox scored the tying points in the beginning ofthe second quarter to ring up the score 6-6. The third quarter was slashed with penalties and interceptions which ended with the same scores as at the close ofthe first half and the Bryan Bears in possession of the pigskin. In the first few minutes of the final quarter, Butch Garza of Bryan, scrambled across the Blue and White goal for six points to put his team in front 12-6. The Locomotives failed to move the football in their four chances, but were presented another when Chuck Moog leaped on a Bryan fumble. The Locos were again unable to obtain enough yardage to keep control of the ball so Rich Kreischer performed the force punt. Bryan's offense was bottled up in their own territory by the valiant efforts of Geoff Bryce and Jim Lilly and was forced to resort to punting. With only four minutes showing on the scoreboard, the spirited Loco- motives steamed down the field and rolled through the Bryan defensive line for the tying score. This great game will linger long in the minds of the six Montpelier gridiron Seniors, the faithful spectators, and the underclass football players who already anticipate a chance at next year's rival team.
