After a bond issue was approved by the taxpayers, permission was given to the school board to go ahead with the selling of bonds which ultimately led to the building of the S268,38O. addition. For the vocational agricultural course a garage and classroom have been provided. This addition houses the music department which has a large band room, office storage room, two practice rooms, and a place for a future kitchenette. A separate vocal room with a new piano lends to the increased emphasis on musical education. A,'!,x Band Room hu-'ra-A 1' ' ' 6 . H. S. STANDING: Tom Sostoi, Sue Goshorn, Karen Treer, Gary Johnson, Don Carriger, Burt Bassett, Robert Zigler. This year the Senior Class presented The Curious Savage, a three act play by John Patrick. The story concerns Mrs. Savage who has been left S10 million by her husband and wants to establish a happiness fund to help others realize their hopes and dreams. Her grown-up step children commit her to an institution in an effort to get their hands on the money. There, Mrs. Savage meets various men and women who haven't been able to adjust to life on the outside. These new acquaintances, she finds, are warm and friendly and interested in her, not her money. After her children have been frustrated in their self-seeking plans, Mrs. Savage has to decide whether to stay in the institution or face the loneliness of the outside world.
