CU TE TS FACULTY CLASSES SPORTS ACTIVITIES ADVERTISING Foreword A clearer understanding of the functions of the annual can be obtained by a brief glance at its history and development. In the early years it was a memory album for seniors only. In the beginning seniors exchanged pictures. Some pasted them into albums together with newspaper clippings to serve as a reminder of school days. Eventually printed yearbooks came into being. In the late l880's, the use of halftones adopted this new method of photo reproduction.
