DEDICATION It is very fitting that the theme of our yearbook should be musical, for Montpelier High School has earned state-wide recognition as a school wherein the Music De- partment is excellent. This fine Music Department has been developed by Mr. Wesley R. Baker, who has been teaching here since 1929 when he graduated from the University of Utah. Although he has never missed a year of teaching, he has completed his Master's Degree. He did this in 1936 by attending summer school several summers at Columbia University. Then displaying an almost unquenchable desire for learning, he attended summer school at New York University in 1939. He is a past president of the Fifth District Music Education Association, executive committeeman of the Idaho Education Association, and President of the Teachers' Mutual Benefit Association. He has taken part in the city administration for eight years, serving as mayor four of them. He has a fine family of four children, and his wife is very active in community affairs. We, at Montpelier High School, appreciate the presence and influence of this man who has given so much of himself to make our Music Department outstanding. As an expression of this appreciation we dedicate this yearbook to our Music Director, Mr. Baker.
