CLASS OFFICERS Who kept the Sophomores active? LEFT TO RIGHT: Miss Lu Jean Nelson, Advisorg Carol Leigh Whitman, Assembly Chairmang Gladys Clark, Secretary: Spencer Rigby, Presidentg Natalie Neilson, Vice-Presidentg Glay Homer, Athletic Managerg James Rich, Class Representativeg and Coach George Loveless, Advisor. TI-IE OPHOMORE CLASS Starting the year off with a bang. we, the Sophomore Class, first exhibited our skills by winning first prize in the Homecoming parade. Our gaily decorated float did the trick. As the largest class in the school we once again proved our cooperation and interest by displaying a. successful Sophomore Hop. Besides adding extra money to our booming treasury, the dance will always be remembered as a memorable occasion. Our many and varied projects included: arousing school spirit by putting up colorful posters in the familiar halls, picking up scattered papers throughout the school, and restoring misplaced pop bottles to their rightful places. Not saying how successful these projects were. we at least tried. Partying seemed to be a great favorite among the Sophomores, for our two class parties were fun for all. A long awaited trip to Lagoon is planned for summer. We can truly say this year as Sophomores, we have demonstrated to show our many good qualities. Representation in all activities and organizations has given us a good start next year as upperclass- men! Looking forward to two more years at MHS we sincerely hope we can repre- sent our school highly with honesty and frankness as our guidance.
