B, Severns. -lam The Future Nurses of America is a fine example of an organization for aspiring 4'Flor- ence Nightingalesf' It is a voluntary club for girls in the eleventh and twelfth grades. and is under the sponsorship of Mrs. Marv Rogers. the school nurse. The Future Nurses have done voluntary work at hospitals and orphanages. One special project was making holiday tray favors for hospitals. Their statement of purpose is to provide op- portunities for those girls interested in nursing as a profession. to obtain more knowledge con- cerning the many fields of this profession. to develop good social and cultural manners. and to help themselves prepare for married life. Encouraging an interest in the Civiliza- tion. language. literature and art of an- cient Creece and Rome. and also, acquir- ing an understanding of the debt of our own civilization to that of classical an- tiquity summarizes the purpose of the League.
