Their annual Toys For Tots drive and Knot Hole Club Clearly illustrates their purpose. This club Consists of boys whom Mr. Sidney Leff and lVIr. Melvin Popovich, the advisors. feel have the ability to be leaders. These members must have a high scholastic' standing in their class. It is sponsored by Mrs. Mary Hattman. an in' structor in the school's language depart- ment. The chief pre-requisite of member- ship is to be a Latin student. Encouraging an interest in the Civiliza- tion. language. literature and art of an- cient Creece and Rome. and also, acquir- ing an understanding of the debt of our own civilization to that of classical an- tiquity summarizes the purpose of the League.
