Champuonshup The Spartans opened up theur l957 campaugn by rompeng over West Allegheny 276 The Defense was responsuble for the furst touchdown as Carl Van Huse pucked up a fumble and scooted over from the 'I9 and the Spartans led 70 Several plays later Montour recovered another fumble and soon turned ut unto another score as Kruger went over from the eught The second quarter saw another Montour score as Kruger hut Dave Green wuth a pass Van Huse scored the Spartans last touchdown as he swept around left end West Allegheny scored as the lnduans left tackle fell on a blocked punt un the end zone Snyder converted twuce and Wulluams once un the rout The Spartans held the Induans to thurty yards rushung Montour s furst touchdown came when Ruch Manguamelle went off rught tackle for ten yds and the score The Spartans got the ball back when Kruger untercepted a pass A few plays later Schavolt scored on a one yd plunge The Spartans gauned another score when Schavolt blocked a punt and Wulbuk recovered ut for a touchdown Wulluams scored when he went off tackle for 'l2 yds As the game contunued ur' the fourth peruod Snyder went over from the fuve on a keep Montours last touchdown touchdown Zummer recovered a fumble on the Etna 35 and a few 30 yd touchdown pass Manguamelle took a hand off and went off tackle cut to the sudelune and raced 80 yds for the score Spartans drove to Etna 30 Manguamelle took the ball around left end for another score Snyders conversuon was good Tom Wtlluams went over rught tackle for 7 yds and the last score of the game Mullvale recovered a fumble and moved to the Montour l2 yard lune The Spartans defense stuffened and took over on downs The furst TD came as Ruch Manguamelle raced fufty yards Bull Kruger putched a 10 yard aerual to Ruch Mazur for the second score Manguamelle raced 40 yards after a pass from Kruger Tom Wulluams added another as he scored from the l2 Bull Kutzavutch added another TD as the half ended The second half scorung was done by Ruch Manguamelle Dave Yanush and Jerry Snyder who scored twuce and added four extra pounts Mullvale scored twuce un the last quarter Funal score Montour 60 Mullvale I4 Montour took a punt on the Avonworth 46 and drove to the goal where manguamelle took a pass from Kruger for the Spartans furst score Holdung the Antelopes to 5 yds forced them to punt and Tom Wulluams wuth an able block by Van Huse returned the ball 60 yds for the Spartans second score Montour center Bull Kutzavutch pucked up the punt that was blocked by Jerry Snyder and scampered 20 yds for the score Van Huse took
