E Class History In 1942 the following entered school at Vontmorencix Paul Ade, Charles Anderson, Dorothy Bennett, Iva Mae Best, Lawrence Budreau, Roy Dale Charlesworth, Donna Mae Doner, Marjorie Erickson, Lois Fulks, Wayne Fuller, Willis Fry, Joe Gear, Barbara Irelan, Paul Joe Kerker, Bob Kerkhove, Wanda Marshall, Nayne Marshall, William Muse, Doris Pearl, Gene Rooze, Jackie Rooze, Marjorie Schenck, Ralph Sigman, Richard Stacey, Norma Jean Whltlow, Bobby Cadwallder, and Diane Mills. Geneve Baugher was our first grade teacher. Miss Pfiefer, Mrs. Steely, Mrs. Waldrip, Miss Huckleberry, and Mr. Nelson guided our efforts through the remainder of our first six years. During these years the following joined our group: Idona Schldler, Carolyn Taylor, Kathyrn Hopkins, James Smith, Mayne Hayworth, Richard Martin, John Swanson, Rosemary Dye, Robert Gray, Shirley Sayre, Junior Humble, Betty Clark, Ronald Rauqht, Virgil Wolfe, Duane Davis, Donald Shamp, Edward Bankson, Norma Jean Miller, William White, Kea Whiteman, Nyrlene Martin, Shirley Ruhlander, Ross Nichols, Alice Thomas, Rosemary Sewell, Stanley Young, Loretta Best, and Shirley Dawson. As we entered the 7th grade we were excited about school life in the assembly. The class elected Gene Rooze as president and Mr. Hinton as sponsor. In the Sth grade Gene Rooze was again elected president. Nrs. Hornback was our sponsor during our last year of trade school. As Freshmen we began the last lap of our school life at 'Morenci. All were excited about Freshman Initiation, which turned out to be a very enjoyable day for Freshmen as well as Seniors. Stanley Young was president during our Freshman year and Mr. Hinton our sponsor. Allan Benavldes ioined our class. During our sophomore year we began to think about our approaching senior trip and ways to make money for it. Stanley Young was asain elected class president. In the fall we rot our class sweaters which were cardinal red with white trim. Wilma Simmons and Bob Julian joined our class. Our Junior year was filled with interesting activities. The Junior concession stand kept us all busy and provided our main source of income. In the fall we presented our play, lntroducin' Susan. At Christmas time we had a bake sale and scrap drive. Our Junior Fish Fry came in March. On Nay 7th our Junior-Senior Reception was held at Morris-Bryant Hotel. Diane Mills was class president during our Junior year and Mr. Metcalf our sponsor. Dorothy Sox and Pat Trapp joined our group. Stanley Young was again elected president in our Senior year. As class sponsor we elected Nr. Hasselbring. In March our Senior play, Finders Creepers, was presented. In the spring a supper was given by the class. Nay lst was the big day and all the Seniors left for an eiqht day trip. Then came graduation and this happy event climaxed our twelve years of schoolinq at 'Norenol. The graduating class: Paul Ade, Allan Eenavides, Dorothy Rennett, Iva Best, Loretta Rest, Roy Charlesworth, Donna Doner, Marjorie Erickson, Nlllls Fry, Lois Folks, Joe Gear, Mayne Hayworth, Bob Julian, Paul Joe Kerker, Rohort Yerklove, lands Varshall, Jayne larlsall, Diane Mills, - 'ene dooce, Shirley iuhlander, xalph Sifman, Jilra Simwons, Richard Stacey, Pat Trapp, and Stanley Young. C
