No other department or division can survive without the assistance of the Supply Department. lf a radar fails to operate because of a da- maged circuit card. the Supply' Department will provide a new circuit card from their stock on hand and immediately place it on order. The ship's laundry' is the only means of clothes cleaning while at sea. While serving one meal. the cooks are planning and preparing the upcoming meals. On pay day the supply department generates many happy faces. The Supply Officer and the Disbursing Officer work as a dynamic duo in managing the department. Daily records and accounts are reviewed and monies counted and re- counted. lrom the time when a crew' member submits an order form DD IZSU and the supplies are delivered. only the tnetnbers of the supply department understands the finan- ctgtl magic that takes place in between. The Disbursing Officers primary duties address pay' of tnonthly earnings and tlte management of the ship's store.
