DEDICATION Today our world is in the midst of chaos. Wars, depressions, inflations, conflicting ideologies—all present themselves on the present-day scene. We, the Class of 1952, are now ready to take our places in this confusing world. We hope that our efforts will eventually help to make it a better place in which to live. Our education within the walls of Monticello High School has taught us to reason a situation through to its conclusion and then to uphold the con- clusion we have formed until we are shown that it is wrong. Thus far we have concluded that peace is the one precious attainment which is eagerly sought, and that such a peace must be formed by cooperation and amity amongst nations. And so, we dedicate this book to all the peoples of the world, and partic- ularly those of our generation, in the hopes that by working side by side they will be able to achieve a lasting Peace Through Internationalism.
