x Freshmen Freshmen are usually anxious to be- come high school students, but they are also worried about finding their classes, passing exams, and finding the time for their social life as well as studying too. The first month of school is an adjust- ment period for all freshmen to become settled into a routine. Once this is estab- lished, they're on their way to a successful career in high school. Decisions concerning participation in many activities face the freshmen early each year. Those that go out for sports spend many hours before and after school striving to become better than competi- tors they meet. Many other extracurricular activities are also available such as scho- lastic bowl, yearbook, student council, school plays. Semester Exams offer a vastly different experience for freshmen. These require precious studying time. Although exams are difficult, students can pass them with diligent effort. A Above all, the freshmen year offers many opportunities to meet friends, strengthen old friendships, and get a new start. It also provides a background for the rest of their high school years as they be- gin to plot their future. l Q .J Michael Dick certainly shows his enthusiasm the day of Homecoming while sitting in the gym. 30 Freshmen Adjust To New Pace s Ric a lax gg HUF i xx R Freshmen class officers: justin Peterson, Treasurergjim Whetsrone, Presidenrg Denise Downey, Vice-Presi- dentg and Wendy Marsh, Secretary.
