Throughout the year, many students are recognized for their outstanding achievements in the music department at Monticello High School. Students may receive a number of awards. such as an outstanding band member, awarded to one person from each classg or as a out- standing concert band member, awarded to one person in the concert band who shows dedication, leadership, and a good playing abilityg or a leadership award for extreme dedication and leadership for their years in bandg or the Louis Arm- strong jazz Award, awarded this year to Bill Kallembach for his playing ability in the jazz bandg or the john Philip Sousa Award, andfor the Arion Award given for leadership, dedication, and commitment.
