Illinois State Scholars Carrie Bridge,jeff Cavanaugh, Mary Faith Feeney, Don Hastings, Maureen Harshbarger, and Mike Brown were a few of the Illinois State Scholars this year. Each year students are honored as Illi- nois State Scholars. In order to qualify to be a scholar one must take the ACT and attain a high score and have a fairly high class rank. Each qualifying Senior received a certificate and congratulations from Mr. Nation. This year there were a great number of Seniors attaining this recognition. The 1984-1985 recipients were Craig Lins, Phil- ip Kleven, Rhett Suhre, Carrie Bridge,-Ieff Cavanaugh, Mary Faith Feeney, Don Has- tings, Maureen I-Iarshbarger, Mike Brown, Susan Ramsey,jodi Rowe, Paula Schonert, Mark Shapland, janet Stoller, john Whetstone, and Michael Tracy. In most cases these students were also honored as Illinois State Scholarship Commission winners.
