Time surely does fly! Remem- ber how nervous we were the first day of school last year? This year, though, our poise was real and we had confidence to spare as we started over the bridge that fills the gap between underclassrnen and the upperclass- men. The exciting year of 1964-65 will always linger in the minds of the class of '67. At the beginning we just couldn't imagine settling down to books and studying after a fun-filled summer. But after awhile we slipped back into the comfortable routine of high school. Many warm fall evenings were spent pre- paring our pink dinosaur with purple spots' for our entry in the Homecoming parade. Melinda Kratz, our class queen attendant, rode our dinosaur to victory, and we won first place, much to the dismay of the seniors! 1 The sophs tackled two class projects this year. During football season we were in charge of a concession stand for frosh-sopho- more football game, and in November we sold Fuller Brush products. The earnings were put away for safe-keeping until next year's Junior-Senior Prom. Christmas came and went and semesters rolled around. We really had some freshmen scared with tall tales about mid-year exams! Were they really tall tales after all?! The days passed-and all too quickly! The Christmas Dance, Spring Reversal, Prom, and coke dances left us with many fond mem- ories. Remember, as servers, how careful we were not to spill anything on any junior or senior? As the year came to a close we suddenly realized that we had crossed the bridge, and we had only two years left at M. H. S. The hardest part of the road was now ahead of us, but with the name upperclassmen to boost our morale, we felt that we could suc- cessfully finish high school.
