Just people--people who make it, people who are in it, people who look at it. Its purpose is to present a true picture of the different activities of school life. We hope that you will cherish this book and that it will bring memories of every kind. We, the Seniors, consider that it is definitely an honor to have the opportunity to publish this 1959 BLUE AND GOLD. IN MEMORY OF Thomas Broome Wilkes, Jr. Oct. 25, 1928--May 27, 1958 We, the Monticello Senior Class of 1959, dedicate the BLUE AND GOLD to the memory of Thomas Broome Wilkes, Jr., Monticello High School alumnus and son of our beloved senior sponsor, Mrs. Myrtle Henry Wilkes, because of his combined virtues of amiability, generosity, devotion to his country, and his example of a true Christian life. 3 ADMINISTRATIO AND FACULTY Superintendent Marion E.
