DEDICATION To every student who lives, studies, and plays within these walls, Monticello symbolizes more than a mere series of classrooms. During its one hundred-twenty-three-years of existence, Monticello has increasingly rich in tradition, spirit, ideas, and ideals; these are transmitted the students, broadening our scope of knowledge and widening our horizons. We become instilled with the true Monticello spirit; as we leave to our places in society we are better people because of this. This spirit that pervades our atmosphere has grown gradually [hrough the and it represents an integrated total of the many experiences shared lcre. Like modern society in which we live today, Monticello constantly mov sfforward strives to attain an even higher goal. As a tangible proof of this progress, in a few short years the firs large-scale expansion program in our history will be completed. Our ivy-covert I stone walled buildings, such an important part of our rich heritage of tradition,- wi 1 be joined by modern, straight-lined structures modeled in the latest contemporary styles, offering the utmost in convenience and comfort to students and faculty alike. This visile growth is more than an addition of buildings to our campus; it is a symbol of (the never-ending progress that has taken place at Monticello since its founding and 4hat will continue to take place in the years to come. ' It is to this progress and to the future greatness of Monticello that we, the classes of 1958, dedicate the licho. We are optimistic for the ever-continuing growth of tradition, spirit, ideas, and ideals, whose combination has thus far resulted in the high standards upheld by Monticello today.
