Student Council The Student Council serves as the executive group of the Monticcllo student body, and the officers are elected by all the students. The remaining members of the Council comprise the Council board which consists of the class presidents, house chairmen, M.C.A. and M.A.A. presidents, sponsor chairman. Social Chairmen and the two editors of student publications. Mrs. Duree serves as advisor to the Council. House Council The House Council is formed from the presidents of the two halls, Baldwin and Caldwell, the proctors and the fire chair man. The editor-in-chief, Annette Degen, correlated the work of the art and literary editors and the business, productions and Prep managers to produce this tangible record of the unforgettable events and accomplishments of the past year at Monticello. Echo Staff Radene Goldberg, editor-in-chief, and her capable stall record the current events and activities at Monti in the monthly newspaper, the Times. Each editor manages her special field to produce a diversified account of student activities and prevailing opinions of the students throughout the year. Times Staff Standing: Wheeler. Rouwelf. Cabinet The Monticello Christian Association handles all the charity contributions of the college, and student members work at the various hospitals and the orphanage in Alton as aides. They sponsor speakers and programs during the year on various subjects of interest to the student body. Mary Cook served as president this year, with Dr. Menger as faculty advisor.
