Duree Socia I ) ired or B.A., University of Nebraska The many social activities throughout the school year are the prime responsibility of Mrs. Duree, who serves in the capacity of Social Director. Dances, teas, cabin parties, movies, and trips to St. Louis arc scheduled under her guidance. In addition to these activities, Mrs. Duree serves as adviser to the junior class and the social committee chairmen. Mrs. W. Vladimir Rousseff Ading Librarian Mrs. Rousseff, as head of the library staff, has the time-consuming responsibility ol maintaining order on the library shelves and quiet at the library tables. She is always available for aid in finding reference material in books as well as in the complete collection of periodicals, pamphlets, and other current reading material. The annual Book Fair owes its continual success to preparation and organization by Mrs. Rousseff. Joseph A. L. Russo Director of Publications A.B., Harvard College As director of student publications, Mr. Russo advises and assists in editing the college paper, the Timet, and the yearbook, the Echo. Photographs in these publications as well as in all promotional material are taken by him. Throughout the year, his photographs of students and their activities, the campus grounds and college buildings, preserve memories ol lilc at Monticello.

Adtni iAtratich Mary Laing Swift Academic Dean A.B., Yassar College M.A., Columbia University 1 lie position of Academic Dean encompasses many responsibilities, most of which are directly concerned with the students and their problems. In this capacity. Miss Swift is a willing listener and a helpful adviser. She supervises the curriculum and examinations and acts as chairman of the Advising Committee. Despite her busy schedule. Miss Swift also finds time to serve as faculty adviser to the Student Council. Ermina E. Blscii Registrar A.B., University of Illinois Class and exam schedules are only a part of the duties of Miss Busch, Monticello's registrar and statistician. She keeps academic and registration records for each student, records grades, prepares transcripts, and aids those planning to transfer to senior colleges. She also serves as personal adviser to a group of students. VVbndbl II. Baker Director of Admissions Assistant to the President A.B., University of Missouri The important task of contacting prospective students and answering their questions about Monticcllo rests in the hands of Mr. Baker and a corps of admissions counselors. It is also he who arranges transportation facilities during vacations, handles financial and business affairs of the college, and directs maintenance and repairs of buildings and campus throughout the year.
