The time and energy of this efficient group are freely given every year toward the handling of finances and the supervision of many college matters. Russell T. Sharpe Russell T. Sharpe, recently appointed eighth President of Monticcllo, is still a new face on the campus but already an old friend to many of the students and faculty. A native of Past Greenwich, R. I., Mr. Sharpe graduated from Harvard, where he majored in English, in 1928. After a year of European travel, he returned to Harvard in an administrative capacity until he was called into military service. lie was promoted to the ranh ol colonel and awarded the Legion of Merit in 1945. Mr. and Mrs. Sharpe came to Monticcllo from San Francisco, California, where he was Administrative Vice-President of Golden Gale College.

 Adtni iAtratich Mary Laing Swift Academic Dean A.B., Yassar College M.A., Columbia University 1 lie position of Academic Dean encompasses many responsibilities, most of which are directly concerned with the students and their problems. In this capacity. Miss Swift is a willing listener and a helpful adviser. She supervises the curriculum and examinations and acts as chairman of the Advising Committee. Despite her busy schedule. Miss Swift also finds time to serve as faculty adviser to the Student Council. Ermina E. Blscii Registrar A.B., University of Illinois Class and exam schedules are only a part of the duties of Miss Busch, Monticello's registrar and statistician. She keeps academic and registration records for each student, records grades, prepares transcripts, and aids those planning to transfer to senior colleges. She also serves as personal adviser to a group of students. VVbndbl II. Baker Director of Admissions Assistant to the President A.B., University of Missouri The important task of contacting prospective students and answering their questions about Monticcllo rests in the hands of Mr. Baker and a corps of admissions counselors. It is also he who arranges transportation facilities during vacations, handles financial and business affairs of the college, and directs maintenance and repairs of buildings and campus throughout the year.
