Vassar College M.A. Columbia University As Academic Dean, Miss Swift knows first hand the problems of the students; they will ever remember her unsurpassed understanding and interest in them. She is always eager to help them to receive the benefits which Monticello offers every student. Miss Swift is the chairman of the Advising Committee; she supervises curriculum anti examinations. Nevertheless, she finds time, in her busy day to be personal adviser to a number of students and faculty adviser to the Student Council. Wendel H. Baker Director of Admissions Assistant to the President A.B. University of Missouri From his office, Mr. Baker handles all the correspondence with prospective students and a corps of admissions counselors. lie is a willing participant in many social activities and helps the students obtain transportation facilities during vacations and throughout the year. S N 1 Marion II. Crossen Dean oj Women A.B. Obcrlin College M.A. Columbia University Teachers’ College Into the capable hands of Mrs. Crossen falls the duties and responsibilities of Dean of Women. She has administration of all social privileges, supervises student residences, and does much to make college life happy and congenial for every student. She is an imjx rtant |x;rson to the new students whom she assists in adjusting to the new and exciting experiences of college. Mrs. Crossen is always ready to help those who need her advice and understanding.

Young The Board was honored this year by a dinner held in January; a new event added to the social program. The dinner was planned to give the student body a chance to meet the trustees informally, anti to provide the Board with the opportunity to know the students better.

IXUKK Soria Director B.A. University of Nebraska As director of Social Activities, Mrs. Duree’s duties are many and varied. It is she who makes Monticello week ends so much fun for all the students, being personally interested in their social life. She is also available for consultation on social problems. Under her direction all social events, cabin parties, movies, dances, and teas are planned and scheduled, and trips to St. Louis are arranged. Mrs. Duree is adviser to the Social Committee chairmen and other students. Er.mi»va E. Buscii Registrar A.B. University of Illinois As Monticello s registrar and statistician, Miss Busch has the time-consuming job of keeping academic and registration records for each student. Preliminary and linal registration in September, as well as planningo! class and examination schedules, are under her guidance. Miss Busch records grades, prepares transcripts, and compiles each girl’s grade point average at the end of the year. She edits the college catalog, and notes the educational progress of graduates. She is hclpiul also in aiding those who plan to transfer to senior colleges, because she knows the requirements for admission to many of the universities. She, too, serves as personal adviser to a group of students.
