,Jw .--.ax 1 Class Prophecy It was in june, 1961 that I, Dorothy Pawhutsky, received my vacation after working hard as secretary to Bob Limrick, a prominent lawyer in New York. I decided to board a plane to make a visit to my old home town. As I was waiting for a taxi, I noticed a couple of sailors coming down the street, and the one certainly looked familiar, however, I turned my head and pretended not to have seen them, when the one said, I think I hnow you. I turned and was amazed to find that it was Phil Trimble in a navy uniform. He introduced me to his friend and told me he was on a three-day leave, and had stopped off in New York as he had never seen the city. Phil got me a taxi and I started on to the La- Guardia Air Field. I got my ticketg as I boarded my plane I happened to notice that the pilot was an old school friend, Clyde Woodruff. We ex- changed our greetings and I went to my seat. As I was riding, I noticed the gentleman along side of me reading some sort of pamphlet. As he lifted his head, I could not believe my eyes to find that it was Bill Rowley. He told me he was a salesman for the Mutual Life Insurance Agency in Los Angeles and was traveling to Pittsburgh. As we were talking, the plane started to rock and the hostess came along to tell us to fasten our safety belts. There, to my surprise, was Mildred Tepsic. She recognized me right away and told me that this wasn't her regular route. She usually travelled from New York to Paris. I noticed a diamond, but I didn't get to know who the lucky fellow was. We arrived at Pittsburgh, and, since my plane wouldn't be along for at least four hours, I thought I would go window shopping. As I was walking down the street I noticed Bob Downing? Barber Shop. The name sounded familiar so I thought I would stop in to see if it was my school pal. As I stepped in Bob turned around, surprised and glad to see me. He informed me that he was married and had two children. He said he liked the busi- ness very much. I left the shop and hadn't walked very far when I noticed on one of the stores a sign which read, The Mary Srhmittle Drert Shop, so I 'hastened in. I had just walked in when a small red-haired lady came up and said, May I help you? After her first shock at seeing me, Mary Joy told me she owned the shop and was doing a wonderful business. She also in- formed me that the Pittsburgh Pirates were in first place in the National League, thanks to Don Smith, a great pitcher, and Dan-Kantz, first base- man, who were also classmates of ours. She said Continued on page 55 11 E- THE 1951 BEACON Class Will Having reached our senior year in Montgomery High School, Arcadia, Pennsylvania, we the Class of 1951, do declare and make public our last will and testament.
