Next came our biggest project of all. we had a food stand at the Weod Counf ty Fair in Bowling Green. The fair was held from August ll to August 16. This really took work but we made it and came on top with over 3700.00. It really in- creased cur assets toward having more for our trip. Our mothers and fathers should have most of the credit as we probably wouldn't have prospered so well without them. Another project during August was a Stanley Brush Party which was held in the Wayne Auditorium. September had arrived again and we were back in school. As usual we locked forward to going to the senior homeroom and seeing our friends. This year we had a full first day instead of a half day of school. Our senior class sponsor was Mr. Hosafros. we were all pleased to know that we would again have the wonderful guidance of our coach. Our class de- creased as Mamie Gibson, Letitia Dean, and Betty Swin left us. We, however, wel- comed Irene Ault from Fostoria to our class. This made a total of 52. we elected class officers and they were as follows: president, Bob Harten- feldg vice-president, Jim Johnson, secretary, Irene Aultg treasurer, Janet Sunny and reporter, Patty Williamson. we undertook the concessions by selling ice cream at noon and selling at the football and basketball games. On September 29 we had a supper and dinner at the Brad er Building. It was held for the Latter Day Saints Convention. we were also selling Christmas cards, wrapping paper, ribbon, and station- ary. The campaign started in August and ended in December. we took charge of the football homecoming queen and her attendants. In October we had the homecoming dance. we also had a fish fry on the same night. The most exciting moment was when the football team won all football games and were the Wood County Champs. The coach for the Spartans was Mr. Hosafros. n October 22 we journeyed to Fostoria to have our pictures taken by the Dicken Studio. In November we started our magazine sales. we sold a total of S653.3O. ioyce Burton was top seller with SlOl.85. Lowell Buckingham was next with 82.00. It was now nearing Christmas and we were anxiously awaiting our senior pic- tures. After muck waiting, they arrived on December 22. On February 3, we had the homecoming game and dance with a queen and atten- dantse The annual pictures were taken on February 2. In February we also had a bake sale at Wayne. we ended the year by having the senior play on April 50 and May 1. After graduation we went on our senior trip to New York and Washington D.C. Many of us were now on our way to success and ready to climb much higher in- to the future.
