SENIOR HISTORY In the year 1951, A. D., the Wayne and Bradner schools were consolidated, bringing together more students. HSP. we were juniors then with 25 students from Wayne and 11 students from Brad- We then had a total of 54 juniors in the Montgomery Local School. The stude ts in the junior class were as follows: Wayne--Fred Ault, Bob Harcenfeld, Joyce Burton, Lowell Buckingham, Von Bloom, Janet Sawyer, Joyce Geren, Jeanne Trudell, Gineth Farabee, Jane Graber, Jim Johnson, Tom Long, Blake Tyson, Irene Vosburg, Ann Whitman, Charles Morgart, Dick Noble, Ray Reynolds, Patty William- OS OI1 Allen, David Beair, Letitia Dean, Don Ickes, Saam, Garland Smith, Grace Smith, Betty Swin, vice-president, Tom Longg secretary, Jeanne Ruth Mahaffey, Kenny Tyson, Charles Tyson, and Mamie Gibson, Bradner--Paul Bonnie Fentz, Joyce Rubel, Marvin and Glenn White. were--president, Bob Hartenfeldg Trudellg treasurer, Ruth Mahaffeyg The class officers for the junior class and reporter, Joyce Rubel. Our wonderful sponsor was Mr. Wayne O. Hosafros, the head basketball coach and assistant football coach. We always thought a lot of our sponsor and coach because he was s tationary and nLights Out.n always willing to help us in any of our problems. attempt at making money in our ju ior year was made by selling napkins, and sell we did! and big moment was our ju ior play. The name of the play was It was presented at the Wayne Auditorium on Thursday, November 15 Our first Our next and at the Bradner Auditorium on Tuesday, November 20. It was not a financial success, but it was exciting and thrilling. Out directors were Mr. Lauck and Nb. Lutz what date 1955 Now was the time to order our class rings and were we excited. But, oh my, a time! we finally did decide and we received our rings on February 18, a we thought would never come. Our rings were all gold with MLS, the year on the side, and white gold initials. we surely were proud of our rings. we purchased the rings from Bill Wonders, a representative from Herff-Jones. On February 1, 1952, we had a bake sale at both Bradner and Wayne. Another big project during February was a fish fry held on the 19. During April, we had a pancake supper on the first. nPancakes and sausage, all you can eatin Yes, sir, that's what we said. Now we were getting ready for the big moment in our lifeg the Ju ior-Senior Banquet. we had quite a time getting ready. The theme of the banquet was the NStork Club.n We had small individual tables with our doorman, hat-check girl, and every highlight of a night club. The banquet was held on May 16 at 6:50. Near the end of May, the students elected an annual staff so they could start planning the annual. The staff was as follows, Editor, Janet Sawyerg Co- Editors, Jim Johnson and Jean e Trudellg Business Manager, Charles Morgartg Sports, Kenny Tysong Photography, Lowell Buckingham, and Music, Bob Hartenfeld. Also in May we served at the Alum i Banquet. The seniors did not get home in time from their trip to come to the banquet. In June we convened at the Wayne Building and counted sales tax stamps. We received 851.13 from the stamps. During the month of July we held two ice cream socials. One was held at Wayne and the other at the Brander carnival. we served home-made ice cream. It was hard work but still fu . What K.P. Then on July 25 we had a Donkey Baseball Game at the Wayne ball diamond. a game that was! The riders were members of the Wayne K.P. against Bradner with Wayne winning.
