PROPHECY Listen my friends And you shall hear, The prophecy of The Seniors this year. Flash! ! 1962 Annual Wood County Fair! Renew old acquaintances! Hurry, here comes the bus now. Scr-e-e-e-e-e-ch. Watch your step! Ladies first. My that's a familiar voice. Why Tom Sage! You certainly look snazzy in that uniform. Any seats in the rear? Sure. Oh, by the way, our old classmates, Dan and Wilma, are renew- ing their experiences together. Why don't you join them. Hi, Dan and Wilma! Gee, you sure look cheerful! What's new! Remember Regina Baker and Dick Williamson? They are the proud parents of twins, just this morning. We just talked to Marilyn Molnar who is head nurse at Mercy Hospital. She is really devoted to her work. By the way, where are you headed for? We just decided to spend a day at the fair. What a coincidence! That's my destination also-my, at the fair al- ready? Let's visit the needlework displays first. Um! What a pretty d0ily! Glad you like it. Evelyn White! Is that your little boy? He sure is a husky little fellow. How is Bob? Did he ever achieve his goal as a wrestler? Oh yes, he is wrestling this afternoon. Remember Ivan McCoy? He is Bob's manager now. Well, we must be getting on. There's a lot to see yet. Oh, here comes the American Legion Band. Doesn't the leader look familiar? Why, I believe that is Betty Tyson. It is! ! Let's wave to her. Maybe she'll see us and come around to talk to us later. Listen to those drums. Do you suppose that is someone we know? Here he comes, get a good look! Sure enough, our old pal, Noel Nonnemakerf' What's that aroma? Smells mighty pleasing to an empty stomach. What do you say we venture over that way? May I help you? Do my eyes deceive me! Isn't that Sally Foster and Rex Parsons pre- paring hamburgs and french fries over there in the corner? Lets go talk to them. Hi. How is the world treating you? Oh, just fine. Have you seen Barbara and Richard yet? They are starring in the feature show today. What sort of an act do they put on? They have a trapeze act. Barbara had quite a fall last night. It seems as though Richard was polite and left her go first. Haven't heard anything about Don Lemmon and William Gaskalla, have you? There was a rumor that we might be able to see them at your animal show. Is that true? I believe so. I haven't seen them for several weeks. Why don't you go over and see? Sure enough, there they were. Busy as ever. Oh, goodness what time is it? We must hurry or we'll miss the main attraction, Women Daredevil Drivers. It is featuring Della Florea and Carol Gries as the two main drivers. Popcorn, peanuts, crackerjacks, five cents a bag. Hey, that sounds good. I think I'll get a box of popcorn. Well, as I live and breath, Cleo Ostrander. You're selling popcorn? How did you ever get the job? Oh, Mr. Rogers, our senior advisor, put a good word in for me. Well I guess we've seen everything now! Boy, am I glad that's over With. The show certainly was exciting. The day is over, but we have no regrets, for it was well spent after seeing our classmates again. We all agreed to meet at the fair in 1972.
