C LQ 55 I'-TRC-.li2f73 I-edicts' As captain of the space ship to Earth I feel that it is my duty to report what and whom we saw there. My crew and I left Mars in the Mart- ian year 76624 in the Flying Saucer model 726-Xl. We made the trip to Earth uneventfully and landed in the United Sates of America. We land- ed in the Earth year 1971 and stayed eight Earth months. The first man we saw was Dick Foster. He was an Earthlin of a very roly-poly appearance. Dick introduced us to Madge CHedgeg, his wife, and their two lovely daughters. dinner of duck from Dick's duck farm. Madge treated us to a delicious Next our wanderings took us to West Millgrove. Here we met Joyce CBickelhauptJ Stoner. She was happily married and had an eighteen year old son. Joyce introduced my Martian party to Harold Geren who was married to Lois Elder. She earned the living for both Harold and herself while Harold dootored that '36 Plymouth which he still called a car. Our wondering now brought us into contact with Francis and Emma Lou Sherman Adams. They had five sons who played basketball. What a team!!! From an airport near Toledo, we went via Earthmen's jet planes to Hollywood, California. This is the capital of the motion picture indus- try . x Here we met Max Tyson, a motion picture actor. Mick had finally found a place where long side burns were in vogue---western movies!! Max took us Martlans to see a friend of his, Russell Burton. Russ- ell, it seems, had taken advantage of to become a comedian. He had an hour Supplying the music on Russell's ed the piano and did a copious amount incidentally, happily married. his silly motions and zany antics T. V. show daily. show was Joanne King. Joanne playa of wonderful singing. She was, From Hollywood we went to Texas where we met Lillian Sherman and her husband. After twenty years of married life she still treated him like a God. Yes, burnt offerings three times daily. From Texas we traveled to Seattle, Washington. There we met Reva Long. She had dedicated her life to missionary work and the converting of heathens to Christianity. Whether fervor or fever I never determined. Next we Martians traveled to the she carried out her work with a mid-west. Here we visited a lab where atomic research was being conducted. Rebecca Heminger was chief technician, more easily We now Carpenter. than all of when we'd left her behind her predecessors. and after seeing her lab methods, we Martians all breathed decided to visit a hospital. We became acquainted with Flo It is said that she's killed ---- and kissed more patients We Martians stayed in for an evening to watch the T. V. miracle. Lewis Buckingham was on giving a T. V. concert. He had taken full ad- vantage of his nhot trumpetu and ngolden notesu to become America's no. l trumpeter. ' My Martian party now took off for Wayne. We went by air, and our stewardess was Mary Biller. She told me that she'd lost two jobs be- cause of the way she usoothedn nervous men passengers. The last man we saw was Doctor Dale Tyson, a physicist. His last words were: uYou can't possibly be here. Interplanetary travel is lm- possible!
