MERMEN SHAPE UP AT FLAMINGO Practicing daily under the supervision ol Coach lohn Vallerga at the Flamingo Hotel pool, MHS swimmers began to shape up as the practice season commenced. In their lirst outing the team finished third and second, respectively, in the A and B classes at a meet with lincoln and Santa Rosa, B divers lim Marshall and Gary Smith finished one-two in their event. Those possessing the most promising potential in the A's were Bob Turner in the 400-yard freestyle and Frank Noonan in the 50-yard freestyle and lO0-yard baclrstrolre.
