1976 EAGLE MONTGOMERY COUNTY SCHOOLS MOUNT VERNON, GEORGIA A school year, like a recipe, is made up of many ingredients mixed just one certain way for perfection. Mix them another way and the results will be one big “nop.” There has never been a year that was termed a failure at M.C.H.S. This year started out like any other year: but as a dash of this, and a sprinkle of that, plus a dab of something else were added, it turned out that this was to be the best time ever. The annual staff has assembled the ingredients of this year and is now presenting them to you as a complete book of memories of 1975-1976. It is our hope that this “76” Eagle will remain always a treasure in your collection of faded corsage ribbons and programs. HOMECOMING QUEENS Carol Moxley Gail Brooker AND SENIOR REPRESENTATIVES Homecoming at Montgomery County High began with a bonfire and pep rally and ended with the ball game. The pep rally was held on the front campus at seven-thirty with a large group of students surrounding the bonfire and being led in cheers by the cheerleaders. Mr. and Miss Spirit had been elected by the student body and they were presented. The winners were Annette Flowers as Miss Spirit and Johnny Richardson, Mr. Spirit. Friday afternoon Montgomery Countians lined the streets to watch the parade as it passed through Ailey and Mt. Vernon. Each class and several organizations had floats and many student cars were decorated. At the half of the Montgomery County-Georgia Military game the elected Homecoming representatives were presented. The queens were Carol Moxley and Gail Brooker. Each representative was escorted by a football player. The football game drew a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters.
