ROBERTS To the Students of MONTGOMERY COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL f v We all have the same chance, the same opportunity for success. In fact, we can all make a giant step toward success if we start with the right attitude. What kind of attitude are we talking about? It is an attitude of determination which you can show in three ways: by purpose, by perseverance, and by promptness. The surest way not to succeed is to have no goal. If you want to succeed in this world you must know what you are after. An old proverb says: A good archer is not known by his arrows but by his aim.” The point is that no matter what your means or opportunities, you can’t hit the target if your eye is not on the aim. You’ve got to keep your purpose constantly before you by means of perseverance. Your endurance, your strength of will, your power of concentration must help you achieve your purpose in life. Add “Promptness to purpose and perseverance and you’ll have it made. If you want to be a winner in life, be in the right place at the right time. Fix your mind on your main purpose, which is to gain knowledge, perseverance in your efforts, promptness, and this year will be the best you ever had. FACULTY • MR. H. A. MOSES B. S.A., M. Ed., Ed.
