In l935, Blair's first students found a challenge here. Although the challenge has always been here to inspire us, it is up to each individual to recognize it for himself, and to realize his own need to meet it. Each goal, each method will be different, for each of us is different . . . but the wonderful part about our challenge at Blair is that it is so broad and flexible that each of us can find his own special duty to meet it. The challenge makes us want to better ourselves, to develop our talents to the fullest . . .to become contributing members of our society. Year after year this challenge has in- spired the Blairite, and in meeting it, he has created an image of and a high stand- ard of performance for our school. He has felt a certain duty to meet the challenge be- cause of Blair's image, but he has also realized the need to meet it for his own development.
