Silver Quill, stage sets, and publicity posters were only a few of the myriad opportunities for expression through creative art provided by the Art Department. There was value in its program for the novice and the accomplished artist. Working on sketches, the art classes gathered under the trees near the studio. lt was during this time that the art rooms were moved from the top floor of A building to the new rooms added in the basement of D build- ing. Students enjoyed the finished rooms with more space to work.
