Under the excellent leadership of Dick Niner, Bob Anastasi, Cary Thompson, and Susan Allaway, Blair's Student Council complished a year of activity and progress which we will recall with satisfaction for many years to come. Learning to be Leaders The Student Council had several main projects for the year. They accepted the presidency of the Mary- land Association of Student Councils and made prep- aration for next year's Convention which will be held here at Blair. Bill Stewart was elected president. Blair designed the tate Student Council pin. ac- Each symbol on the new Council vA0NTGoMfQY pin bore a definite significance. The B'-'VR 0 balance represented justice: the 516 1 V staff stood for leadership, and the ' scroll symbolized knowledge. School activities and contributions to so- I Q cial service were represented by the 67-0 V 1 Ly masque. 44197. C559 Work for better relations with the community was carried on with the Silver Spring Board of Trade. A Student Council delegate also attended the execu- tive meeting of the P.T.A. in order to maintain closer relationship between the parents, teachers. and stu- dents.
