l6x'-4x-22? VVe sat and stared at the problem in front of us, dumbfounded. VVhat was this mysterious equation set be- fore our bewildered eyes? At the end of the year this equation and many others made logical sense to us, and we thought noth- ing of plotting linear equations on graphs or solving impossible sounding practical word problems. XVe were in a world of geometrical symbols - triangles, trapezoids, parallelograms, and hexagons - while in Geometry class. Here we were faced with a new chnllengeg we knew the answer of what the theorem was, but how did you go about getting it? XVe all started 'l'rig. in a fog, and some of us ended up still in a fog, but for the most part the world of figures and symbols became some- thing real and practical to us, the junior Einsteins uf tomorrow. t'-'stiff' . 'th QQ x 'S , ' A parallelogram was carefully constructed by K. Speaker, while P. XVhitehill, S. Jacobs, and N. Darby measured lines and arcs to perfect their geometric drawings. Complicated equations stared us in the face, but we set out with determination to solve the awesome looking problems, and tried to remember how to apply our knowledge of algebra.
