Krieger, Silverlogue pho- tographer, spent an evening de- veloping pictures forthe year- book. YVe, of the Silverlogue staff, prepared your yearbook. It seems almost impossible to recall the erlorts which have gone into it, and the countless crises we met. A lost layout, a broken light socket, no flash bulbs-these were a few of our troubles. XVe would just have finished setting up for a picture and be ready to click the shutter, when the bell would invariably ring. Ah well, there was always another day. Another day, that is, until we saw the pub- lisher's deadline wildly approaching. 'lihen the typist's fingers flew, the editors' brains got a workout, and the photographers got a big chance to demonstrate their talent. Columbia Scholastic l'ress As- sociation and National Scholastic Press Association awarded first and second places respectively to our publication uf last year. l'he Silverlogue Cubs learned the fundamentals ot yearbook engineering. Silver Quill proudly presented the literary wfirlts of the students, combined with artistic illustrations from the nen- of Blair's Rembrandts. This year we were fortunate enough to have two issues of Silver Quill with the theme nf XYinter and Spring. Typists worked their fingers tothe bone in the last few frantic days before the deadlines, while weary artists perfected the last drawings, satisfied with their results. XVe could thank the art department for the variety of colorful covers with modernistic designs to complete our time literary magazine-Silver Quill. - -Inu!
