Mr. Frances E. Carter, Jr., B.A.; M.A. University of Vir- ginia; Peabody. HEADMASTER There can be no dispute that all paths on the Hill lead to the office of the tireless headmaster, Mr. Francis E. Carter. Besides being the chief administrator, Mr. Carter serves as student counselor, parent consoler, supervisor of the Senior Class, history teacher, chief sports fan, and custodian. His devotion to MBA has made possible numerous improvements in the school plant, its curriculum, and its athletic program since his arrival in 1957. Through his administration MBA has become one of the most respected private independent schools in the nation. No school can boast of a more wonderful headmaster.
