ALL-SPORTS BANQUET The annual all-sports dinner was held on March 16, 1965 in the high school cafeteria. Ap- proximately two hundred persons attended the banquet which was sponsored by the Booster Club. After a fine dinner, the guest speaker, Mr. Robert A. N ewcombe, Director of Admissions at Lycoming College, gave a well organized speech about sports. One of the main points of his speech was, 'It takes not only brawn to make a good athlete, but also a head to guide that bodyf Booster Club awards were presented to twen- ty-five senior athletes and four senior cheerlead- ers. Awards for the athletes consisted of a gold football, basketball, or wrestling charms depend- ing upon what sport or sports the individual took part in. A gold bar was given to an athlete for each year he had lettered in his particular sport or sports. Captains of the sports were given a gold star to signify their leadership. All of the awards are to be pinned onto the red and white varsity jackets which each athlete receives for lettering two or more years in one sport. The Senior Class would like to thank the Booster Club for its continued service to our school sporting program. We hope that this iine organization will continue to serve our school and its athletes in future years to come. Everyone present seemed to enjoy himself.
