MONROE 13-7 The Braves scored early in the first uar 1 1 ' 1 Q - ter and again in the third quarter to defeat a rough and ruyyed Monroe 11. KEOTA 12-13 The Braves scored 2 touchdowns to lead 12-6'after Keota had drawn first blood, only to have Keota score late in the last quarter and take the lead. SIGOURNEY 6-13 An over-confident Monte team was defeat- ed by a strong Sigourney squad. BROOKLYN 13-13 Although the Braves were unable to win their homecoming game, they won a moral vic- tory by tying the favored Brooklyn Bears. BELLE PLAIN E 6-6 The Braves were forced to come from be- hind to tie with the aggressive Plainsmen. A hard-charging defensive line held the Braves scoreless until the final 'quarter when they scored on a pass play. MAREN GO 7-26 A speedy Ma-rengo club was too much for the Braves and scored three times on long runs before the Braves hit pay dirt. TAMA 12-32 The Braves allowed a strong Tama club to cross their goal five times in the first half. In the second half the Braves were able to score twice, while holding the Hawk's scoreless . TOLEDO 18-6 In the last game of the season a spirited squad, made up mostly of seniors, climaaced a successful season by downing the Toledo Raid- ers. The Braves scored their convincing victory, despite the fact that many substitutions were made in an effort to allow all the seniors to play in their last game.
