Fcakazctlc The school paper, the Peakazette, has as its main pur- pose the recording ofall the school's activities. This is done by publishing six editions per term, which cover all phases of school life. The experience gained from working on the Peakazette staff is well worth the effort put forth by its members, both in the writing and business fields of the newspaper. Our advisor is an efficient person whose interest in the Peakazette makes working on the staffapleasure. She leaves all the writing to the staff members in order that the paper be a complete student publication, but gives just enough advice to make it a good student publication. In acknowledgement of our appreciation and fondness of our advisor, the Peakazette staff dedicates this page in the Peak to Mrs. Faye J. Reubush. Mrs . We worked on the club and in- dividual projects. We took field trips and attended the Junior Science Day Meeting in our area. Our aim was to further our knowledge in Science. Safety Patrol 11 As most other schools in this area, Montevideo had a well organ- ized KVG Crew. Mr. Sam C. Helt- zel, chief county fire warden, and Mr. Campbell, district fire warden, came to our school in the early fall to train our boys in the techniques of fighting fires. Crew leaders in 1956-57 were Claude Dove and Delbert Mongold. We had a warden's box containing fire-fighting equipment. Mr. Garber had been appointeda fire warden and had authority to take the crew to fight a forest fire at any time. The Safety Patrol conducted the fire drills for the school. We had a. drill each month. We, also, were bus patrolmen on all busses to and from school. 2 A ICVG 616W .4 , ,M ,if ettm Acquanmted 'P SHENANDUAHS PRIDE DAIRY PRUIJUCTS Your legs are showmg' For the Best m Da1ry Products Always Ask For SHENANDOAH S PRIDE Mllk Sz Mmlk Products The Valley ofV1rg1ma Cooperatlve M11k Producers Assoc1at1on X Phone Harrxsonburg 4 7328, Woodstock 312 Celebrating 41 w washmgron sr Harrxsonburg Vlrgxma ' 1 ,f , ,.
