MISS VINNIE LEE WALKER For many years, just as seventh grade experiences have marked the beginning of life at M.H.S. for students, English with Miss Walker has been one of the highlights of Sen- ior High experiences. Coming to M.H.S. in 1928 after graduation from Athens College, Miss Walker began her career as a junior-high teacher. Continuing with her academic work, she earned an M.A. at Peabody College and did additional graduate work at Teacher’s College, Columbia University, New York City. In 1947 she began working with Seniors and has served as senior sponsor since that time. PAGE 19
