Spanish club was organized to further interest in the Spanish language and culture and to embetter our knowledge of both. Our advisor was Miss McWhorter and we were privileged to have us Maga Amaya, a student from Mexico. Membership totaled fourteen. Officers were president, Joanne Langham, vice-president, Maryalyn Gibersong secretary, Sue Castletong treasurer, Kristine Berglundg president of programs, Kathryn Powell, and Sergeant-at-Arms, Rocky Leister. For a new club, we have had a surprisingly fiscal year. Dues were one dollar per person. In November we sponsored a bakesell. We contributed ten dollars to the Stewart Kidney Fund. Gold- filled pins were purchased for members. We designed a hall display centering around the theme of all Saints' Day. At Christmas time Spanish club joined German Club in singing carols, including an original spanish carol, Venid, Pastores. In the spring we again joined the Germans in producing the annual Foreign Languages Banquet. --Joanne Langham MEMBERS: Front Row-Maga Amaya, Lanny Woj ak, Rocky Leister, Middle Row-Joanne Langham, Sue Castleton, Kris Berglund, Maryalyn Giberson, Luana White.
