Main attractions were Colene laoshaug sing- ing Chloe and a dialogue between two youthful spec- tators at a high school football game, in which the names of Monte players were used. The second freshman assembly under the leadership of Qloanna Christensen, chairman, was held on liebruary li. Also, on the committee were Nlary Bea Dickinson, Rosella Phillips. liddie Dierick and lfrank Cokgley. Dastardly Deeds for the Thwarted Bl.lCligLl.lI'LllH was one of the IHOSI popular skits presented. ln the skit were: Frank Cokeley, Don Millich, Yy'inifred Sandberg, livelyn Vincent and Charlotte Satterstrom. Both assem- blies were very much enjoyed by the audienc.s. The Shadow Dance was the theme of the fresh- man class dance held here after the game with Chehalis, on February l. The first dance given by the freshmen was on lfebru- ary 1. after the basketball game here with Ch:halis. Two freshmen had important parts in th: all school play, Mail Order Mary. Charlotte Satterstrom played the part of -lane Norris, and Evelyn Vincent, the part ef Vesta Hale. Some of the freshmen were in the chorus, a total of eight to be exact. Three of these were sopranosg four altos: and one, a bass. There were seven freshmen in band, mostly in the clarinet section. 1 A number of the boys turned out for all the sports, including football, basketball, baseball and track. There were eighteen freshman girls in G.A.C. They took part in all the activities. All the playdays, which were held in Raymond, Shelton, Elma, Chehalis and Montesano. were attended by the freshman girls. Almost all the girls went to at least one playday, Throughout the year, eight freshmen made the honor roll. They were Charlotte Satterstrom, Xvinifred Sand- bcrg. Bobbette W'.ltterS, Judy Trinneeer, l.ila l.aBreck, tlJAnn Galloway, Stanley Thompson and Lloyd Sund- berg. The class adviser this year was Mr. Hoyt. His ideas and suggestions were always helpful. i Page T44 rulyfl i1 4'
