Two of the four yell ltings are members ol' this class. Bobby Nlanlev and Jerry Nic- Clleary. A number of the class members were on the first and second string basltetball and football teams. The tirst event sponsored bv the sophomores was the .isseinblv held on October ith. The theme was. Beat the lilma Ingles. The nest event xv .is the dance on November 16th. Since it was near b.1slte1ball season the theme chosen was the HTTTCIIFI-.1-Sl1UC Vi'alt1. The second sophomore assembly was held liebruarv Zlst. Une of the stunts was to have everyone stand who wanted to contribute to the sophomore fund, The Na- tional Anthem was then played. Naturally. everyone stood. Quite a haul! The main event of the year, as far as the sophomores were concerned. was the Sophomore Hop on May 9. Sticlsing to the tradition of barn dance style. the Hop was built around the old fashioned idea. Gingham. jeans. straw, western and popular music. and a wonderful time for everyone was the whole evening in .1 nutshell. Our class was happy to have two new memb:rs added after the beginning of the second semester, Geraldine Ueppiesse from Hoquiam and Nlarlene Hatliavvav from Tacoma. Our only wish is that we may be as successful in our etforts next vear as we have been as sophomores. liter' T111'r1Ii-Tliree
