X With Dr. Goodwill and his assistant, Mr. Reuben Johnson, they probe the problems of financing new construction, of making changes in the school curriculum- add- ing new reguirements and dropping old ones, and of doing the hundred and one things necessary to keep the process of education functioning smoothly at MUHS. Mr. Richard Schuman V A N Vice-Principal New taces and names met the 'l oreadores as they streamed up the hill in September, 1951, but before the month was out, they were as familiar as the sight of Mrs. Petersen's basket and the quotation the juniors expect to find daily on Mr. Ed- wards' blackboard. Soon it was Coach jo instead of Mr. Giovinazzo. and shortly afterward Mr. Brigham's English accent was no longer a problem to the enrollees of his science classes. The Galleon frequently carried news items about faculty members who, though carrying on as usual in the classrooms. nevertheless seemed always to be doing something extra, from serving at the Pittsburg game to taking part in panel discussions at the P.-T.A. meetings.
