The Music Man f Meredith Wilson's hilarious musical comedy, opened Valen- tine's evening with a slam, bang and a whistle. Bill Oakley played the part of Professor Harold Hill, a fast-talking traveling salesman who comes to River City to organize a boy's band. Playing opposite him was Mary Marable as Marian Paroo, the town's spin- ster libriarian who tries to expose Harold Hill and falls in love in the process.
