The words of that famous song kept ring- ing in my ears after I found out that I was actually going to go to India as Rotary Ex- change Student. I was leaving on a jet plane. I spent one year of my life in a country that I really didn't know about. When I got on that plane I closed off my life here in the United States and looked forward to an exciting and challenging stay in India. Well, I got all the excitement I wanted and more. While there, I learned so much about the country and its peoples. I got to stay with Indian host families, attend school, and whenever I could, I would go on trips around India. During this year I met so many wonderful people, experienced so many things that I would just like to say thank you. Rotary for giving me the op- portunity and thank you India for showing me the best year of my life! 5
