This year our club of 26 members with adviser, Miss Gibbons, elected the following officers: President, Dorothy Weiske; Vice President, lanis Robinson; Secretary, Jacque- line Kiger; Treasurer, Pat McMahon and Chapter Mother, Mrs. Weiske. One of our projects was to attend the dis- trict rally at Beaver Dam where our officers took part in the installation of officers. We served a lunch for the Grade School Board Convention and the people who took part in the Polio Talent Show. Donald Otto. F. F. A. STATE FARMERS The Montello Chapter of Future Farmers of America is com- posed this year of 13 Greenhands and 39 Chapter Farmers. State Farmers of 1951 were Bob Williams and Bob Roidt. Candidates this year are Bob Cotter, John Furman, Orland Buch- holz, and Bill Bettin. The Soil Judging team composed of William Barron. Bab Schinkel, William Lambert, and Dale Steinhaus, as alternate, re- ceived 1st place at the District Contest at Waupaca. It was the first contest of its kind held in Wisconsin. The Poultry and Egg team received 1st place in the State Contest and placed in gold emblem group in the National Con- test held at Kansas City, Missouri. Bob Schinkel was the chapter speaker this year and placed second in the District Contest held at Rosendale. Community projects that the chapter is undertaking are. Rat and Mouse Campaign, safety inventory of farms, clipping cowfe horns, and seed treating. CHAPTER SPEAKER
