In the course of the year we lost Janyce Beckman. We were officially initiated November 16' The boys appeared in gunny sacks, silk stockings, and hair bows. The girls were very fashionable with upswept hair-do's men's shoes, socks, and ties and blouses and skirts turned inside out. The Freshman Return Party was on January 11. On behalf of science , we took a trip to Madison. Places visited were the museum, observatory, and radio station.

Sophomore Class Out of the 47 Freshmen who started Montello High School last year. 41 returned. November 16 we held our initiation party in the gymnasium for the Freshmen. All the upper classmen were invited. Driver's Education under the instruction of Mr. Con- stance was held on Tuesdays for the boys and Thursdays for the girls.
