FORENSICS Eighteen students took port in Forensics this year. The winners of the local contests held February 21 and 24, were: Extemporaneous Read- ing — Ida Mae Hersey, Extemporaneous Speak- ing — Jordan Kozlowski, Original Oration — Mary Inman, Non-original Oration — Daniel Pol- cyn, Four-Minute Speech — Marvel Doepke, Serious Declamation — Peggy Schmitz, Humor- ous Declamation — Paul Shurpit. The following received an A rating in the district contest held at Montello and will compete at Stevens Point April 1. Jordan Kozlowski, Mary Inman, Daniel Polcyn, Peggy Schmitz, and Paul Shurpit. Last year Thelma Darling received an A rating at Stevens Point and went to the state contest at Madison where she also received an A rating. We hope to do as well this year.
