This year our club is more fully organ- ized than previously and projects were presented at Wautoma and Westfield by members of our organization. A number of the members had their voices recorded for radio broadcasting over WIBU. The officers for this year are Ivan Mc- Duffee. president; Bob Metcalf, vice presi- dent; Kenneth Soda, secretary; Maynard Schmudlach, treasurer; David Puter- bough, reporter; and Lester Meiller, sen- tinel; Mr. Whirry, Advisor. Due to the absence of Bob Metcalf, Edward Buch- holz acted as vice president. The club's chief activities this year were the annual Game Feed and Christmas Party. A major accomplishment of the chapter this year was the awarding of the Wisconsin Farm- er degree to four graduates of the Chap- ter. These members were Fred Cartwight, Vernon Dahlke, Tom Furman, and Mau- rice Kearns. Maurice was also the winner of the $50.00 Achievement Award. QUARTET Our Quartet received second place in the contest at Prince- ton February 24, 1948. Kenneth Soda, our public speaker, won third place in the contest. This year we are pur- chasing a new standard for the card catalog file. At our weekly meetings prob- lems are discussed and each student li- brarian is assigned work to do which varies from repairing books to dusting, cataloging books, filing or arranging the books in order on the shelves.
